Families come to this work in different ways, and I offer a few approaches to meet you where you are. You can read more about each one below.
Parent work with Parents/Carers
I work one‑to‑one with parents and carers — either individually or as a couple — to support the parent–child relationship and the emotional wellbeing of your family.
This space gives you time to talk openly about your child, their behaviour, and the dynamics that show up at home. Parenting can feel overwhelming and isolating, especially when you’re struggling with behaviour, big feelings or changes in your child’s development. It’s easy to imagine other families are coping better, or that you’re the only one finding things hard.
Having someone to think with you about your child’s behaviour, emotional needs and the patterns emerging in your relationship can be hugely relieving. I don’t offer quick fixes, but together we can explore what might help things feel calmer, clearer and more connected — supporting your family to find a steadier rhythm
One to One Psychotherapy Sessions
If you’re looking for a psychotherapist to work one‑to‑one with your child, I offer individual psychotherapy sessions designed to support their emotional wellbeing and development. A dedicated space of their own can be hugely beneficial — children and young people often express themselves through play, imagination and movement, as well as through talking, and having a consistent, attuned relationship outside the family can help them explore feelings, worries and experiences that may be hard to put into words. Over time, this can support emotional regulation, confidence, behaviour, and the challenges that show up at home or school.
I adhere to all online working guidelines set out by my accrediting body, the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). Safety is paramount when working with young people: I hold a Level 3 Lead Professional Safeguarding qualification and an enhanced DBS certificate and follow strict safeguarding procedures. If you would like me to work with your child, you are encouraged to request to verify my live DBS status through the government’s DBS live update service.
If you’d like to explore one‑to‑one psychotherapy for your child, please get in touch via the contact form or use the Live Chat feature in the bottom right corner of the page.
Family Work
I also offer work directly with you and your child or children. These sessions can include any combination of family members — one parent and one child, both parents and several children, or whatever reflects the dynamics in your home. Together, we create a supportive space where everyone can communicate safely and share their thoughts and feelings, whatever their age. This kind of work can be deeply helpful in strengthening family relationships, easing tensions, and finding new ways of relating to one another.
